I wish you all a very happy and blessed Easter! This is the most meaningful day of the year for me, so I thought today I would share a little from my heart.
Although much of the decor surrounding the Easter holiday is centered around bunnies and chicks, Easter is really a celebration of new life. New life given by the only One who can give life. The One who is powerful above all – even death. Easter is a celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the day he overcame death and paid the punishment for my sin, for your sin.
Today I’d like to share with you one of my favorite songs. It tells the story of Jesus Christ’s great love and sacrifice for us.
I pray that each of you will know His amazing love and forgiveness!
Glorious Day by Casting Crowns
One day when Heaven was filled with His praises
One day when sin was as black as could be
Jesus came forth to be born of a virgin
Dwelt among men, my example is He
Word became flesh and the light shined among us
His glory revealed
Living, He loved me
Dying, He saved me
Buried, He carried my sins far away
Rising, He justified freely forever
One day He’s coming
Oh glorious day, oh glorious day
One day they led Him up Calvary’s mountain
One day they nailed Him to die on a tree
Suffering anguish, despised and rejected
Bearing our sins, my Redeemer is He
Hands that healed nations, stretched out on a tree
And took the nails for me
One day the grave could conceal Him no longer
One day the stone rolled away from the door
Then He arose, over death He had conquered
Now He’s ascended, my Lord evermore
Death could not hold Him, the grave could not keep Him
From rising again
One day the trumpet will sound for His coming
One day the skies with His glories will shine
Wonderful day, my Beloved One, bringing
My Savior, Jesus, is mine
Oh, glorious day
For God so loved the world
that he gave his one and only Son
that whoever believes in him
will not perish
but have eternal life.
John 3:16

Thank you Jesus for the sacrifice you made for us! And thank you to my parents and others who nourished my belief and trust in You. Life was never the same after Jesus defeated the cross!

Ginny, thank you for the beautiful words and sharing the awesome music video.
I was ill this am and did not make it to church. THIS was my sermon! And it will be my beginning on this new year everyday. I am keeping this in my inbox and
it will be my morning manna. Blessings to you!

I’m absolutely in love with this song! Especially today! I sang it as loud as I could on the way to church and then our wonderful praise band sang it today! I love how it tells the story of Jesus so succinctly. Thank you for sharing it with your readers. I, too, pray that everyone will come to know Jesus Christ and see the sacrifice that he gave four our sins.
John 3:16
“God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son. Anyone who believes in him will not die but will have everlasting life.
