I hope you have enjoyed the last 12 days of my series: “12 Days of Christmas {Planning}.”
I appreciate all of you who have stopped by to check out my site, and I hope you found some things to be helpful in organizing your Christmas holiday!
For the final post in this series, I would like to recommend one more book for you to read to your children. It is recommended for children ages 2-6. It is called My Birthday, Jesus’ Birthday.
The book is a comparison of a child’s birthday to Jesus’ birthday. The story of the child’s birthday, and all the ways in which it is celebrated, are on the left pages. The right pages are the story of the coming of Jesus, comparing his story with the child’s. It is an excellent way for children to understand the story of Christmas.
I highly recommend this book and have read it to my children repeatedly. Unfortunately, it is hard to come by. It may be out of print. You can see it on Amazon here, but the price is much better if you purchase it from one of their “used” book sellers. You also may be able to find it on Ebay.
I wish you all the very merriest of Christmases and hope you are keeping your focus on the true reason for the season. God Bless!

My aunt gave this book to my son for his first Christmas 9 yrs ago. I loved it. He loved. All of the children born after him loved it. We still read it repeatedly every Christmas. I bring it into church to read to my nursery children who ask to hear ” ‘gain and ‘gain.” A couple of years ago I bought all the ones I could find on Amazon that were under $10 for my nieces and nephews. I had 2 new ones born this year and went to order it for Christmas, but I can’t find it for less $100. Any suggestions of where to buy this around regular retail price?

I wish I could tell you. I have looked multiple times myself. I’m glad to hear how much you enjoyed the book, too. Once in a while, I’ve seen it on Amazon for a lot cheaper, but it’s hit or miss. I wish I could help. It’s too bad that it’s out of print. Keep looking.
