i soak the cooking dishes and plates before washing
I try to make sure the dishwasher has enough room for the dinner dishes so we don’t have to wait to do two loads.
I try to clean as I go. If the dishwasher is empty, it makes it MUCH easier to just put things in after supper.
I leave the dishes and pans soaking for a while before the clean up to make it easier.
I’m hopeful this means it’s a bit better for septic systems as well!

I have loved using Finish dishwasher tabs and Jet Dry for years! I’m glad that they’re continuing to improve them! It’s the only product I use in my dishwasher!

I am trying really hard to be better about getting dishes done after each meal. It’s been tough with a husband who has been in treatment and a three year old with high energy. I use the Cascade tabs right now but want to switch to Finish. I have good luck with their rinsing agent, and Cascade leaves residue on my dishes after the dishwasher has been run. I am planning on trying a DIY dishwasher solution to see if that helps.
By doing the dishes immediately after a meal. Unfortunately that happens rarely 🙁
Most of the time my dishes are close to clean when I load the dishwasher but a little extra clean never hurts!

Our new dishwasher has made a big difference in the cleanliness of our dishes – even the filthy ones.
I try to unload the dishwasher as soon as it is done so it is always ready for dirty dishes, instead of letting them pile in the sink.
I clean as I work, so that when the meal is ready, the counters and cooking dishes are already clean or loaded.
I try to load the dishwasher as I make dinner. I try to leave enough room for all the dinner dishes. If I fill the dishwasher before dinner is ready, I will run the dishwasher and have my son unload it after dinner (one of his chores is to unload the clean dishes and put them away). Once he unloads them, I reload the dishwasher with the dinner dishes, if it is not enough to run another load, I wait to see what the eat for a snack before bedtime, if not I might run a rinse cycle and then wait until morning and run with the breakfast dishes. I usually get 1 or more loads done a day with just the three of us, if we have guests, look out.
I like to clean out the dishwasher before we eat so the dishes are ready to go in. Also if the dishes from the sink are in the dishwasher before we eat it really helps.

I try to make sure to rinse the dinner dishes off so they are ready to be put in the dishwasher. It makes for an easy and fast clean-up.
I also like Finish products. Was the original name for this dishwasher detergent Electra-Sol?
I use slowcooker liners and foil on baking sheets for easier clean up. After dinner the older 3 kids are responsible for cleaning up after themselves and whatever mess the babies leave on the floor, I call the dog in to clean up for me lol.

I never run the dishwasher unless it’s full and I soak the pots and pans.
Finish is the only brand I use for my dishwasher. Only kind that cleans and sparkles.
I find it easier to clean up as I prepare meals. I put dishes in the dishwasher as I go, never pile them in the sink or on the counter. Makes meal prep easier and less cleanup after. My kids and husband are also great at putting their dishes in as they use them throughout the day. Nothing like a clean and tidy kitchen.
I ask everyone who sat at the table to take on a task – loading the dishwasher, sweeping the floor, wiping down the table, counters, cabinets, appliances, washing pots and pans, etc. Clean up with several people is much faster and easier than one person alone.
I love Finish brand!! It’s also my go-to brand. It gets my dishes cleaner than most any other that I have tried.

We let the youngest do a pre-wash before placing the dishes in the dishwasher. Afterwards everyone chips in to get the kitchen back in shape. The quicker everyone steps in and does a job the quicker we get to have free time.

I just started using Finish when I read that they were great for keeping glasses shiny. They even cleared up my glasses that had already gotten that cloudy film on them.

I didn’t realize that Finish dishwasher tabs didn’t use harsh chemicals. I’m impressed with them using Hydrogen peroxide.

The soak dishes in water then when I’m ready to load the dishwasher I just dump the water & put the dishes in the dishwasher.
I like to make sure my family puts their dishes right into the dishwasher after we eat. This helps me out and the dishes won’t sit in the sink waiting for me!
Have the dishwasher empty before cooking then wash as I go. After eating we finish loading the dishwasher and start it then unload the next day and do it again!
Put dishes in dishwasher as you cook. Makes clean up after dinner easier and faster plus your kitchen isn’t a mess with all the dirty utensils and pans overshadowing your meal.
One way I make meal clean up easier is by cleaning while I’m cooking. Whether it’s putting something back in its place after I use it, or washing a pot while I’m waiting for something to bake, I find that cleaning as I go leaves a lot less to clean up after meals.

Unload the clean dishes in the morning so all used dishes can be put in there during the day instead of piled up in the sink.
If the dishes are really dirty, I will put water in them to soak awhile – makes rinsing them a breeze.

I try to wash up pots as I use them while cooking and I sometimes serve in the cooking dishes instead of using separate serving dishes.

A plumber once told my Mother that by rinsing your dishes before putting them in the dishwasher, will prolong the life of your dishwasher by two to three years. I have always taken those wise words to heart and rinse before starting the dishwasher! So far, so good, as my dishwasher is now up in age!
I fill one of my sinks with hot, soapy water and put the pans and utensils in it as I work. It makes washing them a breeze!

On pans that have a baked-on mess, I drop a Finish tab into the pan with water and let it soak for about an hour before washing. This works wonders.
We make it easier by rinsing our plates and pots/pans right after dinner.
I get my son to help clean up, and my husband already helps. We rinse the dishes off right away and before bed they’re washed. If they don’t get done until the morning, at least they’re rinsed!

I have 6 kids so meal time is usually no easy task. Right now it is even more difficult do to our dishwasher going out flooding my house and causing a lot of damage to my kitchen. So for the last couple of months of not having a dishwasher we have done the, Responsible for your own routine. How that works is I fill the sink with hot soapy water and each member of the family gets to was their own dishes whether is be plate, bowl, fork, knife, or spoon, you wash what you use. The few dishes there are from making dinner are washed by rotation whomever is up next on the chart is the one with the tast. With reconstruction starting in a couple more weeks, I am in hopes of having a nice new dishwasher to do the job and will look forward to using it.
I am always simply amazed how clean my dishes come out and how clean my dishwasher smells. I live where hard water is an understatement lime and calcium deposits plague my appliances and bathrooms. As long as I use these tabs my glasses come out sparking clear and my dishwasher sparkles too!

I try to clean up as I go. I do a quick rinse of the dishes and stack them. With just my husband and myself at home now, I don’t use the dishwasher. I wash everything in the evening after dinner and let them air dry.

Doing it right after were done makes it easier for me. If I wait or start something else I never want to do it. I also like to clean as I go, especially during big meals.

Its just my husband and I, so a lot of times when I cook, we have left overs for several days. So I run my dish washer several times a week. Looking forward to the samples, right now I use Finish Dishwashing powder. I like the idea the new pods have less chemicals in them. All for helping the environment.
I’ve been trying real hard to clean as I go and also do the dinner dishes before sitting down in front of the TV.
I clean as I prepare our meal. When we are finished eating, I get everyone (my husband, two teen children and myself) to load their plate, silverware and glass in the dish washer. Then all that is left to clean up are the pots & pans.
