This is the ninth post in a 12 day series called “12 Days of Christmas {Planning}”. Check back every day for tips and downloads to help you organize your Christmas holiday!
One of my family’s favorite traditions is enjoying the yummy food we eat together on Christmas Day. I thought some of you might be interested in our holiday meal plan.
I don’t have pictures for all of the parts of this meal plan because I haven’t made it since I started my blog and I’m not about to ruin my family’s anticipation of it by making it in November just for blog post pictures. I hope you’re not too disappointed! I’ll update the post with the “real” pictures after Christmas.
Christmas Morning
{Yes, we go a lot a little overboard on the sweets, but it’s one day a year, right?}
French Toast {made the day before and reheated Christmas morning}
Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls and Orange Rolls {My husband’s favorite!}
Snowmen Donuts {Thanks to Creative Gift & Party Ideas for the inspiration!}
Peaches that we canned over the summer {This one is new this year after my first attempt at canning peaches was successful. Yay!}
This is not your typical American Christmas dinner. My husband is part Italian and the dinner menu comes from his family. Since we have moved away from Philly and there isn’t an Italian pasta market to be found anywhere near where we live now, we depend on our families to bring the ravs to us when they visit. So, sorry…no recipe for the raviolis here. They’re fresh from Scaramuzza’s. 🙂
Christmas Dinner
Ravioli’s {boiled, then placed in a dish and baked with pasta sauce for 20-30 minutes}
Sweet Italian Sausages {baked for 20-30 minutes at 350 with pasta sauce}
Shrimp with Cocktail Sauce
Tossed Salad
Toasted Garlic Bread with Basil and Parsley
Dessert
Happy Birthday Jesus Cake {decorated by the kids with a little help from mom on Christmas Eve} {We use a boxed Duncan Hines red velvet cake and decorate it with white frosting, red and/or green lettering and Christmas-y sprinkles}
Christmas Cookies {check back in a few days for our favorite cookies recipes}
