Here is a quick and easy way to keep cords organized when not in use:
Simply hold one end of the cord and wrap cord around your hand. You may want to separate your fingers widely so the loop is larger.
Continue wrapping until about 6-8 inches from the end.
Pinch loops in the middle and pull off of hand.
Stop wrapping length-wise and begin wrapping sideways around the middle of the loops.
Once you’ve wrapped the entire cord, tuck the end through the loops. It holds surprisingly securely and won’t get tangled. I’ve been wrapping cords like this for years. I love that I don’t have to fumble with twisties or rubber bands and cords stay neat, and easy to store. This also works well with ropes.
You can use the same loopy idea with cords that are in use {such as all those pesky cords behind your computer} by shortening the extra length. Just wrap excess cord in loops and secure the middle with a twisty-tie.
