Welcome to the first week of our New Year’s Organizing Revolution!!! This week we are focusing on getting office spaces organized. If you have an organized office, desk, or just a little niche in your home where you keep track of your paperwork, that’s what we want you to share this week.
I would love to show you my beautifully decorated, super functional office, but the fact is, I don’t have one! My little “office” is a corner of my homeschool/playroom. 🙂 But, an “office” doesn’t have to be a huge room to be organized.
One way that I organize paperwork is by having a command center in my kitchen. You can check out how I transformed a mess of paperwork in my kitchen to an organized space here.
Do you have a beautiful office, or do you have a little niche like me? Either way, I want to inspire you this week to work on getting it organized!
If you are new to this Organizing Challenge, check out the Tips on Getting Started post here. You can also check out all the details including all of the prize sponsors here.
The RULES:
1. Organize your office space (check the weekly schedule here for next week’s space)
2. Take a picture of your organized space. For beginner tips on taking great pictures, check out Ask Anna’s post here.
3. Upload your photo to the internet. If you don’t have a blog, learn how to easily upload a picture to Pinterest in Becky’s post here. Becky also explains how to link your picture to a link party.
4. Visit Organizing Homelife here and add your link to the party. Feel free to link up your pictures anytime from Monday thru Thursday.
5. From Friday thru Sunday, stop back to vote for your space and others that you love.

Hilda @ From Overwhelmed To Organized says
I’m so happy to see you just showed a little organized niche Ginny! I was feeling overwhelmed looking at all the beautiful offices the other top bloggers were sharing and trying to figure out what I could link up. I don’t have an office but I do have an area that I’ve set up in the kitchen to help with the flow of paperwork in our house. I think I’ll write up a post about that to link up 🙂 Love this challenge! Happy new year!
Ginny says
Thanks, Hilda. 🙂 I definitely love looking at beautiful decor and organized spaces, but I do have to re-focus sometimes so I don’t get envious. 😉 It’s a good reminder to be thankful for what I have. Best wishes with the challenge. 🙂
Jackie says
I can’t wait! My desk gets here on Thursday and I will be able to complete my office space in time for the contest!! 🙂
Ginny says
Yay! Just in enough time, I hope. 🙂

I love to organize and the timing of this contest was perfect. I was home on Winter Vacation and had the time to finally put my office space together.
Christa Graham says
Hi! I read the fine print and contest intro, but didn’t see the answer to this question. Can you vote only once? or once per day? Thank you!!
Jennifer says

Hi Ginny:
Finding your website is a wonderful way to start off the new year! We just found it in the last few days and have already redone the pantries….we have a small one in the kitchen and a very large one right outside the kitchen door in our garage…all dry goods are now inside and the canned goods are in the larger one…our granddaughters call the one in the garage ” Poppy’s Store”! On Tuesday we plan to do the frig…..we would do it tomorrow but are taking the day off…it is our 52nd Wedding Anniversary! Don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t learn anything new at our age! (74 & 70) Thank you so much for your website!
Ginny says
Haha, good for you, Rosemary!! I know so many folks about your age that won’t touch a computer with a ten foot pole, let alone read a blog! I am very impressed with you!! 🙂 Good job on your pantries and fridge. Congratulations on your anniversary, too. That’s a wonderful accomplishment!
